The glial network engine is a set of networked programs and libraries designed to address all data as uniformly addressed objects within a narrowly defined, yet extendable hierarchy.

The ultimate goal of the glial network library is to provide universal network abstraction for future applications and neural networks by discovering and addressing all known resources via assignment of unique ipv6 addresses to all known resources in the hierarchy. By providing a unique address with a sufficiently large address space, this allows future software development to interface all discovered data in a consistent manner much like Unix-like systems provision of semi-universally abstract resources via file system operations.
